Who was there?
Many members of our beloved TiVoCommunity.com, that's who! They included:

What is on the DVD?
This isn't all about me. I have tried to include all of the other attendees in order for as many as possible to enjoy it. So, it's not just hours of mindless "vacation footage" you're used to from Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. Music! Pictures! Video! It's all here! Including:

• Mav's Fear of Flying (footage shot on the plane ride to Vegas)

• TC-Con at ESPN Zone (the actual con itself)

• The Star Trek Experience

• "Song for TC" music video from Mavenelle (not the tiny web version!)

• Little Black Dresses (they were sure lookin' hot!)

• A Con Montage (a Contage, if you will)

• Plus bonus Hotlanta pictures

All of this is easily accessed thru DVD menus with a TiVo theme. Also included are all the pictures used in the DVD on a DVD-ROM portion of the disc, plus the "TiVo Con Vegas" song and outtakes.

When did this take place?
June 8, 2004 was the day of the official convention at the ESPN Zone. But several attendees showed up early and stayed late for many of the unofficial activities, which included gambling, a visit to the Olympic Gardens strip club, Drink Link, Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon tours, and a trip to a galaxy far, far away. Oops, I mean, a trip to the Star Trek Experience.

Where did the debauchery take place?
Where else? Vegas, baby! That's right, Sin City itself was host to our transgressions. Because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? The NYNY Hotel and Casino was our destination and did a nice job of hosting our gathering with their fine facilities, including the ESPN Zone where the actual "convention" took place.

Why did you do it?
Good question. Little meets seemed to be popping up more and more on the board. Then it was someone's great idea (email me if it was you for proper credit!) to organize an official nation-wide meet. A dream was given form (too B5-ey for ya?) and soon Kevin (unixadm) started nailing down the details. Many threads were started! So many in fact that this event had it's own section for a while.

How much for my own copy?
Well, herein lies a conundrum wrapped in a mystery which ate an enigma. Or something like that. As I stated above, this is my vacation. As I do with all my family footage, I have used some copywritten material to make it more fun for my personal enjoyment. Mostly in the form of a few tracks of music. So, I can't sell you a copy. However, I have incurred costs in producing these discs. Also, I spent dozens of hours (maybe even over a hundred) in making this. Usually it's just a hobby, but for this I really tried to make it as professional as possible.

Considering all the above, I hope you can "donate" some money to help me recover my costs. I actually hate doing this, as I didn't go to the con as a form of income. I went to meet you all and have fun. But being the video guy I am, I made this disc. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It really makes me want to go back again!
